I wasn’t optimistic but McCain made a wise VP choice in Palin. Far, far better than the rest of the likely contenders.
She’s young and conservative, a much needed contrast to the worn out, “moderate” McCain. As a Washington outsider and known reformer, she’ll neutralize the business as usual charge given the “change” theme of the 2008 campaign.
And as a woman she’s capable of picking up millions of votes from disgruntled white female Hillary supporters. Obama must be kicking himself for not picking Hillary, no matter how visceral the personal animosity. Hillary is rolling on the floor laughing her pant suit sized ass off.
Beyond the current election cycle, the GOP will be well-positioned with Palin to blunt Hillary’s run in 2012.
And did I mention Palin is quite soft on the eyes and she likes to shoot.
For once, McCain got something right.
Update: It gets better, Palin may be a Buchananite!
There’s absolutely no evidence that she’s more conservative than McCain on any issues except for Christian issues.

Dear American,
If there are Muslims in your neighborhood, you should be worried. Worried about your safety. About your kids, your neighbors. About your country, and the future it will have if Muslims are allowed free reign. The government has allowed that. The police have sanctioned that. The state has largely failed.
Take advantage of what precious Constitutional freedom you have — exercise the 2nd amendment. If you live near Muslims, buy a firearm. Legally. Quietly. No threats. No funny-business with squirrels in his yard. Keep it legal. But keep yourself, and your family, and your country protected from them. Make no mistake — they may not seem like an enemy, but they are hardly friends to the Constitution.
Their actions around the world have demonstrated their disdain for liberty, and their zeal for domination over any non-Muslim. For extermination of you, should you and your family fail to submit.
One of you eventually will get a hold of deadly arms, and if it isn’t you.. It will be them.
