This photo released by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice shows death row inmate Jose Medellin who is set for execution at the Texas Prison in Huntsville, Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008. Medellin, now 33, was one of six teenagers arrested and charged with the gang rape and murders of Elizabeth Pena, 16, and Jennifer Ertman, 14. The two Houston girls, returning from a friend's house, took a shortcut home along some railroad tracks and stumbled on a group of teenagers drinking beer after initiating a new gang member. The scheduled execution of Medellin has attracted international attention after the International Court of Justice, also known as the World Court, said the Mexican-born Medellin and some 50 other Mexicans on death rows around the nation should have new hearings in U.S. courts to determine whether a 1963 treaty was violated with their arrests. Illegal alien, Jose Medellin, was finally executed tonight by the good State of Texas by lethal injection.   He was pronounced dead at 9:57pm.  Champagne corks were popped promptly thereafter at RWO to celebrate.

This worthless creature was responsible for the brutal gang rape and murder of two teenage girls from Houston in June of 1993.  Medellin and his partners in crime used their belts and the girls’ shoelaces to strangle them after they repeatedly raped and sodomized the girls for one hour.  Medellin boasted of having “virgin blood” on his underpants.  Details of the crime can be found here.

The families of the victims waited 15 long years for this moment.  To add insult to injury, the President of the United States, Don Jorge Bush, had the gall to ask the Supreme Court to overturn the Texas court’s decision in October 2007.  By the slimmest of margins the Supreme Court rejected the Bush administration’s arguments, paving the way for the execution.

Perhaps Bush should consider running for President of Mexico.  He will probably be more loved there than in the U.S.
