And They Call This Justice?

The black fiend, Robert Williams, who viciously brutalized a white Columbia graduate student was sentenced on July 25 to 422 years on 44 counts.  The horrific details are chronicled here.

But get this crap as reported by the NY Daily News:

While Williams can become eligible for parole in 50 years, [Judge] Berkman said “the parole board should be aware that this is an extremely dangerous man, who has no regard for the safety or welfare of others or for any legal rule.”

Sentenced to 422 years but eligible for parole in 50 years?

As one AMRENer commented half-jokingly:

In NYC, 422 years translates into 7.5 [years] with good behavior and time served plus [the] loss of drivers license for the period incarcerated, real time.

What a farce the criminal justice system has become. Williams will get housing, medical, three meals a day, cable and enough time to lift weights so he can pose a threat to the prison guards and those on the outside should he be paroled, all courtesy of the New York State taxpayers.

Even if NYS had its death penalty statute back on the books, some worm defense lawyer would find a way via the seemingly endless appeals process to delay Williams’ depature date from this world. Again, all courtesy of the New York State taxpayers.

This is not justice.
