Leslie Williams, 31

Released less than a month from prison, Leslie Williams, 31, wasted no time getting back to his old habits.

On Sunday, Williams broke into the home of Carol Larese, 65, of New Britain, CT and shot her.  Ms. Larese is expected to survive.

Mary Ellen Welsh, 62, a cancer patient and friend of Ms. Larese who was at the home having her morning coffee, was not so fortunate.

Mary Ellen Walsh, 62

Ms. Welsh was abducted and found dead in a gravel pit 12 hours after the crime spree began.

Williams was caught after a reckless 20-mile chase, which ended when the stolen vehicle of Ms. Welsh flipped over.  Regretably, Williams was taken alive.

Williams has been charged so far with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and third-degree larceny.

More serious charges related to the Welsh murder are pending.  No word if the fiend raped or sexually assaulted Ms. Welsh.

This skunk was convicted in 2000 for sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, a 5-year old girl.  His rap sheet includes drug dealing and multiple burglaries.

Thanks to our silly criminal justice system that would put a creature like Williams back on the street, Ms. Welsh is dead.

A trial is not fitting for this animal.  A mob armed with a sufficient length of rope would be more appropriate.
